Camp Agape Hawaii

Every Labor Day weekend, about 150 “Angels”—children of incarcerated parents—attend Camp Agape, sponsored by the Camp Agape Hawaii. The camp first started in 2005 and stems from a mission to share God’s love with children whose parents are in prison. “Agape” love is always the theme at the camp, as volunteers and junior mentors strive to demonstrate the love of Christ to the camp attendees. Camp Agape is an annual, four-day event filled with an intentional series of activities and events that facilitate the sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through love, trust, forgiveness and hope.

Pastor Roy Yamamoto at Agape Christian Fellowship OahuIn light of the continuing threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of protecting the health of campers and all of our volunteers, we have decided to cancel Camp Agape Hawaii 2020. We realize this is disappointing, but given the current status of our increasing COVID-19 cases, as well the difficulties and challenges associated with adhering to social distancing protocols in a camp setting, we feel the decision is necessary in order to maintain the safest environment for our community. We look forward to hosting other small events we will be hosting later this fall. You can also find our updated events on our website. If you have any questions, please email us at Please stay safe and God bless you and your ohana.

In Him,
Pastor Roy Yamamoto & Camp Agape team
